For Teams
Welcome to Gothenburg, Sweden and to the ISU Challenger serie competition for Senior and Junior teams and to the international Advanced Novice competition skating free skating two times. The competitions will be held in Frölundaborg Arena.
The first Leon Lure Trophy was held back in 2007 and this year we will celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the competition in the memory of Leon Lurje.
The event in brief will be:
Thursday 28 JAN: Official trainings, draw, officials dinner and skaters party
Friday 29 JAN: Official trainings and competition day 1
Saturday 30 JAN: Official trainings and competition day 2
Sunday 31 JAN: Official trainings, competition day 3
The Leon Lurje Trophy is a competition with a strong tradition and great symbolic value for both Swedish and international synchronized skating. Since its inception in 2007, the event has grown into one of the most appreciated in the discipline and carries the legacy of Leon Lurje – the doctor, leader, and passionate advocate who dedicated his life to developing the sport.

The Organizing Committee has reserved the required accommodation for all teams. Teams will book their accommodation through the OC. Details regarding accommodation booking will be provided later in September.
Accomodation bookings must be submitted through the seperate web portal as instructed by the Organizing Committee. All teams are welcome to make room reservations for chaperons. The link to the web portal will be opened and distributed in September.
There will be a 50% downpayment for accommodation and meal reservations. Final settlement will be due in conjunction with entry deadline.
For cancellation of rooms (in part or in full) after 2026-10-27; 50% of the cost will be charged. Cancellation after 2026-12-23 100% of the cost will be charged. This is due to the hotels cancellation policies.

Meal tickets will be offered for purchase for the teams. Meals will be served at the hotel of the teams accommodation. Due to construction works it is most uncertain that meals will be possible to be served at the arena. If this will be possible we will let you know and meal tickets will be valid also there.
Skaters Party will be arranged at Eriksbergshallen on Thursday evening after the draw, right across the street from Quality Hotel 11.

Arrival and departure transportation, transportation between hotels and arena will be offered upon request.
It will also be possible to hire a private bus with driver for one or several days before, during and after the competition.

Extra practice ice will be offered upon request in nearby ice rinks and dependent on availability in relation to desired times of the request. Note that transportation for extra practice needs to be either arranged be the team itself or to be booked via the Booking portal.

Ticket sales are planned to open in October.
Presales for teams chaperones will be offered prior to the ticket sales opening. All event tickets for adults will range between SEK 350-750 for three days of competitions.
There will also be possible to purchase single day tickets as from the middle of December 2026 when ticket sales for these tickets are opened. There will be no presale of single day tickets.
Presale of Tickets will be managed by GotEvent via seperate links to the teams.
This portal is used for booking and managing reservations for accommodation, meals, transportation, and additional ice time related to the event.
The booking portal will open on 25 September 2026.
Access to the booking portal will be provided to each federation with a user name and password.

The weather in Gothenburg in the end of Januari is typically cold, between 0 - 5 degrees Celsius. It can be windy, rainy or even snowy. Bring warm clothes and shoes which can stand against the temperature and wet conditions.
The currency in Sweden is SEK, Swedish kronor. There are ATM machines across the city of which several accept credit cards for withdrawal. Shops and restaurants accepts in general Visa, Mastercard and American Express (though to some lesser extent).
Electricity is 240V and non-European devices may require adapter.
